Course Work & Assessment- Semester Scheme

  • A variety of teaching and assessment methods are used throughout the course including lectures, workshops, seminars, projects, group exercises, tutorials, home assignments, quiz tests, monthly tests, mid term and preliminary examinations with the aim of helping students to become independent learners equipped with practical skills and competencies. The Students of Computer Applications in Business undergo practical training test.

Classification of successful candidates

  • The results of the successful candidates at the end of the VI Semester shall be classified on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in all the six semester.
  • Only those candidate who have studied and completed all the six semesters in the first attempt itself, within the stipulated period of three years in this college, shall be eligible for ranking provided they secure 60% and above marks.
  • There shall be separate examination for theory and practical papers. A candidate who fails in practical examination and passes in theory examination shall have to appear for practical examination only and vice-versa.
  • The successful candidates shall be given class, based on their aggregate marks obtained in the optional subjects in all the six semesters.
    1. 70% and above - Distinction
    2. 60% and above but less than 70% - First Class
    3. 50% and above but less than 60% - Second Class
    4. 40% and above but less than 50% - Pass Class
  • The students have also the option to improve his/her performance in one or all papers of the respective semester. The details of the same may be obtained from the college office.
  • There is no provision for applying for improvement of the results in respect of internal assessment, practicals, project reports, viva, field works etc.

Degree Awarding Body

The course is affiliated to Rani Channamma University, Belagavi. The Internal as well as the End Semester examination shall be conducted by the College. At the end of the course (after successful completion of Six semesters) the degree shall be awarded by the Rani Channamma University, Belagavi.

  • Full Time
  • A minimum of 75% of attendance is compulsory according to the rules prescribed by the University.
  • Shortage of attendance shall be viewed seriously
  • Shortage of attendance shall be informed to parents twice a year.
