Course Information

P.G. STUDIES IN ECONOMICS −M.A. IN ECONOMICS

Our college has introduced P.G. Studies in Economic Course from 2010-11.


Eligibility

A candidate, who has successfully completed Bachelor's Degree programme of Rani Channamma University, Belagavi or a Degree of any other University recognized as equivalent there to with Optional Economics/Basic Economics as one of the subjects, having at least 45% of marks in aggregate at the prevailing rules of the University and Government orders from time to time.


Duration of the course: Two years (Four Semesters).

The CBCS is introduced from the academic year 2008-09 for MA in English programme. Admission will be provided to the student, if eligible, coming from any other institution with CBCS system after the due permission from the parent University.
Degree Awarding Body

The course is affiliated to Rani Channamma University, Belagavi. The Internal as well as the End Semester examination shall be conducted by the College. At the end of the course (after successful completion of four semesters) the degree shall be awarded by the Rani Channamma University, Belagavi.

Attendance

Minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory as per the University rules.

Shortage of attendance shall be informed to the parents twice a year

Good number of career opportunities are open to the students who complete this course. The successful candidates can pursue their career in Teaching, Communication, translation, journalism, creative writing, administration etc.
