INTRODUCTION

 In today's challenging world an institution for higher education has not only the responsibility of educating its student community but also to launch them into suitable careers by providing career information, counselling, guidance, training and placements. In this direction our institution established Employment Information Career Guidance and Placement Cell (EICGC) in the year 2002 and has been doing its best to achieve the goals and objectives of the College.

To make the student aware that content enrichment is the basic requirement for success in the competitive world.

To inculcate the habit of extensive reading outside the frame work of curriculum prescribed by the University.

To enable the students to continually improve the communication skills and life skills.

To enlighten the students on the emerging trends and guide them to face the same effectively.

To organize campus recruitment regularly and provide an opportunity to the student community to face direct selection.

To play complementary role in the accomplishment of institutional goals.

The Employment Cell (EICGC) is equipped with 4 computers with free internet facility.

1353 books on different career options and competitive examinations.

Special collection of 266 books on English language grammar and communication skills.

200 books on reasoning, analytical thinking, quantitative aptitude, general knowledge and general studies.

Five periodicals related to the career/job opportunities.

Two news papers.

The office bearers of Employment Cell (EICGC)

Employment Cell every year arranges special lectures for all students on Career Opportunities by experts from different fields.

The convener and the members of Employment Cell make personal Career counseling whenever it is sought by the students. By gauging students interests and aptitude career guidance is provided.

Free internet Facility

The free internet facility is given to students which provides access to information about career opportunities and helps in preparing for bright future.

The vast collection of employment cell reference library also provides information on different career options and helps them to prepare for competitive exams like UPSC- IAS/IPS/IFS/SSC, NET/SLET/ PGCET/ GMAT

Workshops and coaching classes

Employment cell conducts workshops and coaching classes for students on soft skills like etiquettes, presentation skills, body language, time management etc. It also trains them in group discussion, personal interviews and resume writing that prepares them to face campus recruitments.

Special workshops are conducted to guide students about UPSC and KPSC exams by experts invited by the college. Shri Akash Bhairannavar an Aluminus of our college, who succeeded in 2013 IAS exam conducted a valuable work shop for the students on How to prepare for IAS and KAS exams.

    Organizing campus recruitments is a major activity every year. Well known companies like Wipro, Infosys , TCS, IBM , and Federal bank visit the college every year and select good number of students through campus recruitments. The cell also facilitates students from other colleges to take part in the recruitments and get selected.
