ENGLISH DEPARTMENT -UG

About Department

All through the history of Lingaraj College, the Department of English has been a significant part of the Institution. Stalwarts in the field have taught here generations of students instilling in them a zealous love for English language and Literature. Prof. K. R. Shrinivas Iyengar, Prof. A. K. Ramanujan, Prof. Bhogi Shayana, Prof. C. S. Bagi, Principal B. Rudrappa, Prof. V. D. Kulkarni, Prof. Sumatindra Nadig and others brought a distinct academic character to the college and the English Department through their scholarship and tutelage. The fact that the library boasts of a rich collection of old and modern classics in English is the result of their efforts to shape it into a repository of English Letters and Language.
